The Witches
‘The Witches’ is the latest adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book. This iteration is a dark fantasy comedy starring Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci and Chris Rock. It takes place in 1967 when Charlie ( Jahzir Kadeem) goes to live with his grandmother (Spencer) in rural Alabama after losing his parents in a car accident. After an encounter with a witch in the grocery store, Charlie’s grandmother decides in an effort to protect them, they should go stay at a fancy seaside resort.
