It was a year ago today that it seems the world really began to change, in ways that may never fully be understood especially for the family and friends of Kobe and Gianna Bryant; Christina Mauser; Sarah and Payton Chester; John, Keri, and Alissa Altobelli; and Ara Zobayan. I still remember so clearly where I was what I was doing and how I spent that day and next few days if not weeks in a state of shock and disbelief. At the time I knew the feelings of sadness and grief hit different and wouldn’t go away easily, but little did I know they would live on to permeate and define the rest of the year and beyond. I continue to pray not only for the victims but for their loved ones as well. May they all rest in power.
