This Mixtape Monday belongs to Mac Miller. I was always more of a casual Mac Miller fan until his The Divine Feminine album even then I wouldn’t say I was all in. But I was beginning to appreciate him more. I hate that I really started paying attention too late. After his tragic passing, I went back and listened to his earlier music and I finally got it. Mac Miller really was mad talented. I think he really found his groove lyrically and musically after GO:OD AM. The earlier stuff was good, but from GO:OD AM took his music to another level. To get a real idea of what I am talking about check out his episode of the Tiny Desk Concert. (see below). Swimming was by far my favorite Mac Miller release.
