Mixtape Monday: Rock & Roll HOF Class of 2021

Class of 2021 Welcome to the HOF

This week’s we mix is dedicated to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2021 which includes legends such as Tina Turner and Carole King. This will be Tina Turner’s second trip into the hall. She was previously inducted as part of the Ike and Tina. Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters was also previously inducted as part of the iconic alt-rock/grunge band Nirvana. In addition to the Foo Fighters this year’s class also includes The Go-Go’s , Todd Rundgren, and JAY-Z LL Cool J is also getting special recognition from the Hall as is Billy Preston amongst others.

Admittedly some of these artists are little before my time and out of my wheelhouse like Carole King. I had always heard Tapestry was a great album but never really paid attention until I was putting together this playlist and it truly is fire. l guarantee if you have not heard of some of these artists you have definitely heard at least one of their songs playing in the background somewhere.

This year’s class is also among the most diverse, something else everyone kept saying, And again something I didn’t pay much attention to until I was curating this playlist and it definitely is. There is something on here for everyone no matter your generation or musical taste. Hope you and enjoy it and congratulations to the Class of 2021.

PS - Yes some of these artists will definitely be getting their own time in the spotlight, mixtape or throwback.
