This week Korean music sensations Monsta X step into spotlight. The group was formed in 2015 from the reality show No Mercy. Originally formed as a seven man group, the band now consists of six members, Shownu; Kihyun, Minhyuk, Hyungwon, Johooney, and I.M. Since 2019 all of their albums have gone platinum in Korea. Last year they released their phenomenal all English album All About Luv featuring collabs with French Montana and Pit Bull.

Monsta X is known for their aggressive sound and style, which is a combo. of EDM, hip-hop, and pop. The Monsta X’s sound is instrumental in shaping the fourth generation of K-pop with more of a harder edge.
