It’s Maluma, Baby
This week’s Spotlight Artist is none other than Papi Juancho himself, Maluma. The multi-talented singer, songwriter, and actor from Colombia has been a rising star in the music industry since the release of his second album PBDB Mixtape followed by the full-length release of Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy both in 2015. He has since collaborated with Shakira; Madonna; Timbaland and Sid; French Montana; J. Balvin; Becky G; Ricky Martin; Jennifer Lopez and The Weeknd just to name a few. He had an out of this world 2020 with the release of his hit album Papi Juancho. He also became the first male cover model for Elle Magazine. Maluma’s sound is as multifaceted as he is. Besides classifying in the overall genre of Latin music, it’s been described as a cross between reggaeton, Latin trap, pop, and soul. I personally would just call it good.
