Anna of the North is a Norwegian singer-songwriter, whose sound can be best be described as an eclectic mix of smooth, soulful electro-pop. I first discovered Anna of the North when her song “Lovers”, from her 2017 debut album of the same name, was featured in the hit Netflix movie, To All the Boys I Loved Before. That particular song was a standout on a soundtrack full of great songs. I immediately listened to her album, “Lovers” and was truly impressed. I was also surprised to see that she had featured with some major artists like G-Eazy, Honne and others. Her second album “Dream Girl” was released in 2019. I was fully expecting this album to suffer from the sophomore slump, which it did not. Honestly, I think it’s better than her first album. Check out both below.
