Spotlight Artist: Jessie Reyez
This week’s Spotlight Artist, Jessie Reyez is an Contemporary R&B singer-songwriter from Canada. I first heard and fell in love with her voice when she was featured on Eminem’s “Nice Guy’. She has a very distinctive voice matched by her very real and raw lyrics that I think anyone who has ever been in love can relate to, even though we may not want to. Since her debut in 2014 Jessie Reyez has made a name for herself in the industry not only has she had several collabs with Eminem, as well as several other artists (6lack, Daniel Caesar, Khalid, Shawn Mendes, Sam Smith, Kehlani and Normani just to name a few). She was also featured in Beyonce’s “Black Is King”. To date she has released 3 albums: “Kiddo” (2017); “Being Human In Public” (2018); “Before Love Came To Kill Us” (2020). Below I feature a specially curated playlist of some of my favorite Jessie Reyez songs. Check it out.
