TBT: Usher’s Still Confessing His Bad Habits

Last fall I wrote a Quick Pop on Usher’s latest single (at the time) “Bad Habits”. I love that song and one of the things I commented on was how it’s a throwback to “Confessions” era Usher. In 2004, Usher released his iconic, game-changing, and by far his best album to date Confessions, full of songs about love, vulnerability, and infidelity. Parts of the album are autobiographical (based on his relationship and breakup with Chilli of TLC) and some of it is pure storytelling, but all of it is genius. Seventeen years later it still hits, maybe a little differently because of life experience. It’s like running into that old friend you used to be really close to but haven't seen in ages. It’s great to catch up and relive the memories. Some of my best friends from that album were “Confessions Pt2”, “Burn”, “My Boo”, and “Throwback ( ft.Jadakiss)”. You can listen to the full album below.

Usher has released 8 studio albums to date and we have taken some of our favorite songs from each of those albums and various singles for today’s TBT. Enjoy 😊
