The White Tiger 2.16
The Eye of The Tiger
This week on the Popcast we discuss Netflix’s Oscar-nominated (Best Adapted Screenplay) The White Tiger. The film was written/directed by Ramin Bahrani and was adapted from Aravind Adiga’s novel. Both the novel and the movie chronicle the life of Balram Halwai as he rises from a poor uneducated, yet ambitious villager to a driver for one of India’s wealthiest families, to finally becoming his own boss as a wealthy entrepreneur and business owner in Bangalore. Tune in to find what we thought of this mash-up of Slumdog Millionaire meets Parasite. Does it compare to one, both, or neither?
