Chicago P.D. Doing It's Part
Chicago P.D. is one of my favorite shows. It is (was) also one of the worst offenders in gratuitous police violence, no real-world consequences category. I have been curious about how the show will approach social justice issues, racism, and police reform or even if it would do so. The star Jason Beghe said it will and they “are trying to be useful.” Needless to say, I am truly looking forward to this season of Chicago PD, hopefully, it won’t let me or the rest of the fans down and truly do justice to these omnipresent issues. Lebron & CNN Team Up On Black Wall Street Doc
Springhill Entertainment, the media company owned by LeBron James, and CNN Films are partnering up to produce ‘Dreamland: The Rise and Fall of Black Wall Street’. The Documentary will focus on the 1921 Tulsa Oklahoma riot which ultimately led to the destruction of one of the most prosperous communities in the country and the death of its residents most of whom were black (Variety).
Assassin's Creed Gets TV Treatment
Netflix and Ubisoft are teaming up to reboot Assassin’s Creed as a TV series. I say reboot because most don’t remember the very forgettable 2016 movie, which those of us who do remember wish we could forget. I hope the series is infinitely better than the movie. I am interested to see what Netflix will do with the series. Adding this to the cautiously optimistic list. (EW)
American Music Awards Nominations
It’s hard to believe that awards season has arrived. But here we are. The American Music Award nominations were recently announced and The Wkend and Roddy Rich lead all nominations with 9 each. Followed by Megan Thee Stallion with five. Wine Down favorites BTS are nominated in two categories. My bias aside, I am really surprised that “Dynamite” was not nominated for best song. The show will air on ABC Nov 22. Click link for full list of noms. (Billboard)
Colin In Black And White Finds Its Young Star

The show is a six-episode limited series from Netflix and co-produced by Kaepernick and Ava DuVernay. DuVernay will direct the first episode. Needless to say, this show is already on the must-watch list.. (THR)
