Spike Lee Invites Jared Kushner To Harlem

Last week, Jared Kushner had some interesting opinions about black people and the issues facing the black community. Needless to say, those opinions were racist and tone-deaf AF. Well, Spike Lee invited “punk ass” Jared to Harlem to share those opinions with actual black people. No word on if Jared has accepted Spike’s most generous and gracious invitation (Deadline)

'The BAYLies' Focuses On Underrepresented Cartoons

The BAYLies is a comic book anthology being funded on Kickstarter. It features the work of 22 Northern Californian queer cartoonists and cartoonists of color The first issue is scheduled for release in Jan 2021. It will be a limited release of about 2,500 copies. This sounds so cool. I might have to see how I can get my hands on one. (THR)

The November Reading List

I must admit sadly, that my reading list keeps getting longer. You would think that this year of all years would be a great one to escape into the world of books, but between the popcast, the site, and my day job I don’t have a lot of extra time. But I am going to carve out some time to whittle down my list. There are some interesting options on this month’s list. (EW)

'The Slutcracker' Movie

I never knew there was such a thing called The Slutcracker. But yes it’s real and apparently, the holiday-themed burlesque show is quite popular. So much so that because it’s annual production had to be canceled this year, it is getting its own movie. Thanks, Rona. If I’m being honest I kinda want to see the movie now. 🤣(Deadline)

Dave Chappelle Post Election SNL Host

Dave Chapelle is scheduled to host the November 7th episode of SNL, making him the first post-election host. Hopefully, his monologue will be about how excited we all are to welcome the new administration in January. (EW)
